Description of greenhouses

The greenhouse consists of UV-stabilized plastic profiles and connecting elements. A UV-stabilized foil is connected over the assembled framework, which is additionally screwed with slats and angles. The frame is stable and solid. Subsequent maintenance is not required, except for replacing the foil after a few years: for greenhouse1 usually after ten years, for greenhouse2 after five years. You can move the greenhouse to another place at will and thus enable rotation of crops. Due to its optimal construction, it can also withstand snowfall, as the snow usually slides off by itself. The greenhouse also acts as protection against game and other pests.

Available in any width up to 4 m, length up to 10 m and more. Peak height 2.3 m. Our best-selling greenhouse measures 3 × 4 m.

We set up the first “test greenhouse” at our home and so far, it managed to survive all weather inconveniences since 2005. There was hail, strong winds, and a lot of snow in winter. The greenhouse is still in its place and the first foil was replaced after 13 years. Nevertheless, we have to warn against extreme weather conditions, because nature can always surprise us! In windy conditions, it helps to keep the greenhouse closed and well attached to the ground with pegs. When it snows, we clean the roof if necessary, although usually the snow slides off by itself. Thick or sharp hail might damage the film. Possible damage to the greenhouse in the event of adverse weather events is not a reason for a complaint. Mechanical damage to the film is not a reason for a complaint. It is important that the greenhouse is assembled according to the enclosed instructions.

Ventilation: door-window or door-door. For additional ventilation in the greenhouse, we recommend additional side sliding windows, additional side doors or a skylight with automatic opening and closing.

For this type of greenhouse, you fold the foil yourself: make three folds on each side so that the foil is taut, attach it to the frame with the supplied slats and angles then cut off the excess. A video of the foil laying process is available on our YouTube channel.

Practical: The door is on the frame and there are no zippers.

Another advantage of the greenhouse1 is that the film does not have to be replaced for a long time, as it has no seams. The cost of replacing the foil is lower than for a greenhouse2.

Greenhouse2

Greenhouse2 uses the same construction as the greenhouse1. An already designed – tailored UV-foil is connected over the construction.

Opening: zippered door. Ventilation: lateral by winding the foil. This type of greenhouse is more convenient if you intend to dismantle it every year, as the assembly is a little faster when laying the foil. We can add an additional door with a frame or a sunroof with an automatic opener.

The disadvantage of this greenhouse is that, on average, the foil must be replaced after five years, because the zippers and seams are not as resistant to all external influences in nature.

Special features of our greenhouses

Automatic sunroof opener

A skylight is great for additional ventilation in the upper part of the greenhouse, where it is usually the hottest. It also makes it easier for pollinators to enter and exit the greenhouse. Works without electricity; the expansion of the wax in the ampoule allows the window to open at approx. 18-24°C opens automatically, and closes in the cold. Even when you are not home, the greenhouse is automatically ventilated.

Foil

The greenhouses are covered with a high-quality film (PATILUX E/AG, 0.2 mm thick, 3-layer, four-year, highly thermally resistant with anti-fogging additive). Experience shows us that the lifetime of the mentioned film is 10 years or more.

Our greenhouses usually have slightly sloping sides, if you want a greenhouse with vertical sides, please remind us of this when ordering.

Hot beds

Suitable for winter and early spring: for growing winter lettuce, onions, Swiss chard, leeks… or early sowing and growing seedlings. You can also use it in the summer for growing watermelons and melons. They will do well in a hot bed; we have grown very sweet, almost 5 kg watermelons and melons in it.

In summer: support for cucumbers, peas and other things

In winter: cover it with foil and create a hot bed. In winter, cover parsley with a hot bed or sow lettuce under it.

Size 1.2 x 2 m, the foil is sewn, opening with a zipper. It is possible to make the size according to your wishes, then the beam is “dressed” with foil, the foil is attached with slats, opening – raising the roof on hinges.

Garden houses

With profiles and connecting elements, you can build a garden shed exactly according to your measurements. Dress it up with foil, lighter panels, mesh or according to your idea.
